INSIGNIAS OF THE PAST

Every stroke speaks volume of emotion, every color defines it’s time. That’s how one see through the artist’s eye.

Only few have the talent to make every stroke a magnificent work of art. But many of us have the skills to appreciate such creation. Paintings are good example of artifacts that changes as time progress. It displays a different views of the past- an event, place, scenery or people. And what’s more fascinating is that paintings reflect the artist’s vision of the situation and the feelings he/she have while painting.

In Daraga, Albay, a restaurant named Balay Cena Una displays paintings of the Old Albay during the late 7o’s and early 80’s. It depicts the simplicity of the town; it captures the way how buildings were then constructed, and how trees dominate the area. The hues used were so light it gives you the feeling of happiness and contentment. Also the paintings were arranged in arrays, in such a way that you can make comparisons and observe the details.

Indeed paintings are to be valued and investing to such is a good way of preserving history. So learn to invest in this kind of arts and make your first purchase in Antigo Online shop.

Not the same OLD Restaurant: Balay Cena Una

The scourging heat of the sun and the sound of our hungry pets inside our tummy lead us to the streets of Daraga, Albay. The path we are taking was not familiar add up the fact that it’s a residential lot.  I was starting to believe that we will end up going to Metro Gaisano. We were looking for an old house that serves lunch.  The place as they say is full of antique materials.
When we were about to give up, a man passed by and to our astonishment we were already two blocks away. Upon entering the said eatery, we were in awe. The place brought us back to our grandparent’s time. The furniture’s are old, the paintings and pictures of the sceneries before were hang properly. It was really refreshing and it was really close to home --- Balay Cena Una.
Look how simple the building is. J

We also tried the palatable food they serve. Of course who wouldn’t. Right?

But really there best attraction was their place. Especially the dining place with the antique setting.
